Barrett Petfood is a family owned and operated premium pet food manufacturer. We are currently hiring a Weekend Utility Operator. This position will be responsible for supporting the entire production operation by being cross trained in several positions.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a forklift to stack materials
- Use a yard dog to bring in and unload flour trailers
- Work with the Meat Room and Mill to ensure product meets specifications
- Setup, operate and clean the extruder used for pet food production
- Inspect product to ensure it meets customer specifications
- Operate the dryer and test product in various stages of manufacturing
- Operate the Vertical Cooler
- Troubleshoot equipment to ensure product is within specifications
- Perform sanitation of equipment and work areas
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must have forklift experience
- Must be mechanically inclined
- Ability to lift 60 lbs.
- Computer and data entry skills
- Follow GMP’s and safety protocols
- Great trouble-shooting skills
- Team effort and great communication skills
- Able to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Attention to detail
- Must be mechanically inclined
Hours:
- Day: 6am – 6:30pm Saturday & Sunday with 1 weekday shift
- Overnight: 6pm – 6:30am Saturday & Sunday with 1 weeknight shift
